About Us
Overton Business Association was formed in 1999 to give a united body and voice for the many businesses in and around Overton village.
We are very well supported. Our Membership stands around the 50 mark and has remained at this level since the early days.
General Meetings are held every other month in the Honey Pot Restaurant.
The committee are drawn from our members and are voted in each year at the AGM.
The OBA has successfully campaigned for its’ members and on behalf of the village. Some of our successful campaigns have been:
- the withdrawal of the proposed change to Overton postcodes
- obtaining broadband in the village
- car parking surveys and reviews
- Plastic Bag Free village
We also host the very successful, annual Late Night Christmas Shopping Evening which is always very popular and attracts a huge turnout of villagers.
2006 saw the OBA hold a very successful Wedding Fair, a first for Overton.
Every year we have distributed throughout Overton and the surrounding area a directory of all OBA members, this is backed up by our online directory and serves as a valuable resource for goods and services.
2007 saw the directory move onto a full colour A5 magazine format and the launch of our brand new interactive website.
So, if you are in Overton and in business come and meet us at one of our meetings or get in touch via the Contact Us page.
